Who is the LORD? Yahweh. I AM. Jehovah.

May our eyes see, our ears hear and our hearts receive the Word of the LORD.

We must return to Our Creator before His Son Jesus Christ returns. The time is shorter than when we first heard of His return more than 2 millennia ago. He does not want any person to perish or be eternally separated from Him, but all who ignore His call to return and all who mock Him will surely see that His Word cannot lie!

He will be a refuge to those who choose Him, and a terror to those who reject His salvation. He is a firm foundation for those who trust in Him, but a rock of offense to those who refuse.

As nations have come and gone, so will all of us in the earth, but our souls will live on forever. How we respond to His call will determine if we are eternally with Him, or eternally separated. Come to the LORD while there is still time. Since He created time, we cannot control it, so make your salvation sure today!

Creator. GOD. King of kings. LORD of lords.

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or [a]principalities or [b]powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. Colossians 1:16

I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only [e]Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen. - 1 Timothy 6:13-16

Yahweh. Jehovah. I AM THAT I AM.

In a society where our very identities are questionable, it is encouraging to know that The LORD never changes.

In a time where we are calling in to question everything and everyone, we can stand sure on the solid rock of Christ and know who He is. There is no one better to explain who they are than the actual person. So let us read through some of what the Lord has to say about Himself through His prophets.

Heaven is His throne and the Earth is His footstool.

This is what the LORD says: "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be? Has not My hand made all these things? And so they came into being,” declares the LORD. “This is the one I will esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, who trembles at My word.- Isaiah 66:1-2 NKJV

Without beginning, without end. Without mother, father or siblings. He has existed throughout all eternity and He exists outside of time for time was created by Him.

Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. Psalm 92:2

We can also learn about GOD through His names - He has many. His names correspond with how He is manifesting Himself. For example, Jehovah-Nissi, the LORD our banner, or Jehovah Jireh, The LORD our supply. Both of these are examples of how Yahweh made His presence known to His people.

The prophet Moses was leading the Israelites through the wilderness as GOD had instructed Him, and in this particular instance the children of Israel (descendants of the sons of twelve sons of Jacob) were thirsty and wanted water to drink.

Interestingly enough the children of Israel now totaling more than 1 million souls did not trust that Jehovah would provide as He always did since their deliverance. Instead they began to pick a fight with their leader, Moses. It is not wise to fight with the one who leads you, just FYI.

Moses was not Jehovah but as his representative their dishonor for him was dishonor towards Jehovah. They still lacked understanding for the ways of the LORD after all He had shown them. Trials and conflicts only come for the express purpose for the LORD to manifest His power and show who He is and can be to us as His children. Despite Him consistently providing for their needs and dwelling among them, they refused to believe and trust in Him.

Exodus 17:3 says that the people were thirsty and began to murmur against Moses. We must pause here for a moment because this is a key revelation on how not to act when facing difficulty.

And the people thirsted there for water and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us our children and our cattle with thirst?
Exodus 17:3 - They were basically saying that He had brought them out of Egypt to kill them, their children and their cattle.

WOW.
The audacity of them to accuse the servant of the LORD of deceiving them so they would die in the wilderness. What would be the purpose of this? It didn't even make sense!

Now, Moses was not a false prophet who had told them things which never came to pass. On the contrary, everything which Moses had spoken to them about the LORD had come to pass and miracles, signs and wonders compassed them about in every situation.
  • They were freed from a leader who was known as a god to them, proving that he was not god but Yahweh was greater.
  • There were driven out of Israel richer than they came. The people of Egypt were so ready for the Israelites to go that they gave them gold and silver to just leave. They had seen what Yahweh would do to release His own and they were terrified that their firstborns, their cattle, their crops and entire economy had been destroyed.

Yet the children of Israel murmured against Moses and falsely accused him. They ignored all evidence that the LORD was on their side and agreed with a lie that He had tricked them to be removed from Egypt for the express purpose of allowing them to die in the wilderness. Does this sound familiar? This is the same trick the devil used on Eve in the Garden.

Moses was learning about GOD as well. He was tired of the children of Israel, yet as their leader he went to the LORD on their behalf to ask what the next step should be, he even mentioned that they were ready to stone him!

Do you think that the LORD is unaware of your circumstance, need or desire? He is not unaware and neither is He indifferent, but there is a requirement to trust and rely on Him. Just as this world teaches us to be independent and trust in ourselves, the trials and tribulations we encounter in Christ should compel us to go to the LORD for all that we face.

We need to transfer our dependence from people and things to the Creator of all. The idea that we are independent of Him is ludicrous. The very oxygen that we breathe comes from the processes He put in place at the beginning of creation. Without those processes to produce the very air we breathe, we would not be alive. We are indeed dependent on our Creator and the sooner we accept this, the sooner we can cast all of our cares upon Him and see Him come through for us every time!

Unlike people, He does not get upset with us coming to Him with our needs, concerns and issues. People will say, call me anytime. Come over anytime. Text me anytime. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you. But do this more than a few times and see how they begin to avoid and despise you. Human beings are not created to carry the burdens of others, though we try. We may share some burdens, but all of us get tired after a few late night phone calls or drunk texts from our depressed friends. GOD DOES NOT GET TIRED! He wants us to desire His company and He wants to build us into strong people just as Adam and Eve were before they fell for the tricks of Satan.

He invites us to come close, to trust and rely on Him, to get to know Him deeper than the sermons we hear when we gather with other brothers and sisters in the faith. He wants more than the like on the post you scrolled by and barely read.

The LORD is an inexhaustible source of compassion, love, wisdom, and provision for His people. These are small things to Him. He is not trying to come up with a plan or see what will bring the best outcome - He planned all of the ages before He laid the foundations of the earth. Nothing surprises Him.

It is the goal of this blog to empower believers in the knowledge of who He is so we can become all that He has called us to be. When we get to know who the Lord is we become confident that what He says, He will do. What He has done in the past is not all he can do, but are there believers who will trust Him? Will we look at what He has done in the past with disbelief or will be use it as fuel to help us believe for greater?

All sixty six books of the Bible show us a little about His character. The Book of Romans even testifies that nature bears witness to His eternal power. We will have no excuse for unbelief. He has sent His Word, His prophets, signs, miracles and wonders. The cosmos, all of nature, even our own bodies testify to the greatness of GOD. Our eyes and their lenses; the ability of blood to replenish itself and white blood cells to fight infection. Mucus to catch and wash away impurities, cells to deliver nutrients to organs, our brains and hearts, fingers and toes. No man will have an excuse. The Bible says that we were formed from dust and science proves that everything in the soil is within us.

The Bible teaches that there was darkness, then light. Science proves this.
The Word teaches us that things which are were made from things which are not (invisible). Science proves this.
The Word tells us that the seed to reproduce something is already within it, and this too has been proven.

Who is this GOD? He is everything to us! We breathe his air, live on his planet, and experience His majesty day after day. All that we seek and all that we hope to be can be found in Him by accepting His Son, Jesus Christ. You can experience His love and grace, mercy and compassion if only you will believe.

The Names Of God in The Old Testament

God as we know Him has always been and always will be. He has no beginning and no end. His wisdom is shown throughout the cosmos and our home, planet Earth.  When Moses was called by God to go deliver the children of Israel, he asked God who should He say sent him?  God replied, "I AM." He further explained that He was " I AM that I AM." Seems kind of weird for a name, right? After the Israelites were delivered, they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. During this time, I AM revealed who He was by what He did.  God revealed who He was by what He did.  If you feel lost, confused, or struggle with unbelief, please use this as a reference. Call on The Lord and watch Him show up. He knows your heart, so you don't have to be fancy with your words or know what to say - simply call out to I AM and watch Him become what you need! Keep pressing. Your labor is not in vain.

The Real Meaning of The Rainbow is in The Bible

After the monumental decision by the Supreme Court to allow same-sex couples to marry, I knew it was yet another inch closer to the days Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24, and His imminent return. Let me first say that this post will not attempt to sway you in your views about the Supreme Courts ruling. It would be a waste of time as those who belong to God know and understand the sanctity of marriage and how it originated already. I want to discuss the rainbow and its true meaning. The rainbow is one of those wonders that God created in the Earth that not only reminds us of Him, but also reminds Him of us. The true meaning of the rainbow comes from the Bible. Genesis 9:13 says: I set My bow [rainbow] in the cloud, and it shall be a token  or  sign of a covenant  or  solemn pledge between Me and the earth. (Amplified version)
