A Journey with the LORD

What can I say about the LORD? His ways are unknowable His love will make you want to know Him more! You can never escape when He chooses you to save Though you won’t understand His ways Surrender anyway Open up your heart That’s a good place to start For Him to enter in And turn your losses into wins First He will open your eyes to all of Satan’s lies He will help you understand the secret to being wise Found in His holy Word, not in universities or books You’ll find His wisdom if you know where to look Things you thought you knew, you’ll begin to question Like how you should live and how to enter heaven It’s not by good behavior or being a good person Transformation is what must take place for your salvation to be certain It’s not how you think you are or even your church attendance Rather your obedience, humility, and willingness to listen He compels you to strive for the eternal reward And you’ll only have a chance if you use your sword The Word, The Way, The Truth, and The Lif

Weeping won't last always, Joy comes in the morning!

I think we can all agree that across the globe people are encountering an unusual season of mourning. Just when we think the pandemic is over, bam - another variant is in the headlines. We lost four high school students this week in a horrible attack in Michigan, and no matter what manner of justice eventually comes down, none of those involved will ever be the same.  If we are not personally impacted by this season of mourning, we all know someone close to us who is and that is why it is so crucial for us as the Body of Christ to lean and rely on The Word. In times like these, we must be like King David and look to the hills from where our help comes from. We must embrace one another, share words of encouragement and make a decision like Job, that no matter what comes we will trust in the LORD. It is not easy, but we know from past deliverances, miracles, and encounters that He can be trusted and that He will make all things beautiful in their time.  King Solomon wisely shared that

Redirection: From Pain to Purpose

One of the best techniques used for children when they are upset or angry is redirection. I am no expert but I can recall when I had a family child care business as a young mother in Germany, we were taught that redirection was a tool we could use to calm the anxious child or comfort the sad infant. As children of GOD, I strongly believe that the LORD uses this same strategy today. When we are on the verge of being swallowed up in grief, sadness, or anything which is opposite of the joy we should have, He will redirect our attention to what is true, kind, just, pure, lovely, and good. In Philippians 4:8 the apostle Paul exhorts the church: “Finally, my brothers and sisters, always think about what is true. Think about what is noble, right and pure. Think about what is lovely and worthy of respect. If anything is excellent or worthy of praise, think about those kinds of things (NIV).” This can be a life-saving concept because so many people are hurting and feel they cannot see their way

Who is the LORD? Yahweh. I AM. Jehovah.

May our eyes see, our ears hear and our hearts receive the Word of the LORD. We must return to Our Creator before His Son Jesus Christ returns. The time is shorter than when we first heard of His return more than 2  millennia ago. He does not want any person to perish or be eternally separated from Him, but all who ignore His call to return and all who mock Him will surely see that His Word cannot lie! He will be a refuge to those who choose Him, and a terror to those who reject His salvation. He is a firm foundation for those who trust in Him, but a rock of offense to those who refuse.  As nations have come and gone, so will all of us in the earth, but our souls will live on forever. How we respond to His call will determine if we are eternally with Him, or eternally separated.  Come to the LORD  while there is still time. Since He created time, we cannot control it, so make your salvation sure today! Creator. GOD. King of kings. LORD of lords. For by Him all things were created that

Jewels in the Rubble: Lessons Learned in Trials & Tribulation

This was written in May when a very personal loss disrupted my rest and peace. It is in these moments that we can really see if what we share with others is what we truly believe! An exhortation to myself in a very low valley. May the LORD allow it to comfort and encourage anyone who needs to hear it in this season. Like King David said, we have to encourage ourselves in the LORD (1 Samuel 30:6) What am I missing here...what is the lesson?  I am stronger than this, better than this, more prepared than I appear to be. Why is this hitting me so hard and why am I allowing dust (mankind) to dictate how I feel?! The devil is a LIAR!  (John 8:44 GWT) ..."The devil was a murderer from the beginning. He has never been truthful. He doesn’t know what the truth is. Whenever he tells a lie, he’s doing what comes naturally to him. He’s a liar and the father of lies." GOD is my refuge and strength ; a very present help in the time of trouble! (Jeremiah 16:19) HE WILL FIGHT FOR ME!   He

Gratitude In The Season of Grief: A Grateful Heart

Gratitude. "In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."  - 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Being grateful in difficult and uncertain circumstances may seem like a tall order from an insensitive optimist, but it is indeed a refuge and comfort to fix our minds on Jehovah, Yahweh, I AM. When we give all of our cares and concerns to the Creator, our minds can rest. He never sleeps nor slumbers and He desires that we would come to Him instead of trying to solve the issue on our own. We know that following Christ does not exempt us from trials and tribulations, but we are assured that in every season whether good or bad, joyful or full of mourning, we have a Helper, Counselor, Comforter, and Friend. We are not alone.  We are not abandoned or left without help. We as the children of GOD should be able to see with our spiritual eyes that we need to keep our minds on what matters the most. While distractions seem to meet us at every turn, we are being
