After the monumental decision by the Supreme Court to allow same-sex couples to marry, I knew it was yet another inch closer to the days Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24, and His imminent return.
Let me first say that this post will not attempt to sway you in your views about the Supreme Courts ruling. It would be a waste of time as those who belong to God know and understand the sanctity of marriage and how it originated already.
I want to discuss the rainbow and its true meaning. The rainbow is one of those wonders that God created in the Earth that not only reminds us of Him, but also reminds Him of us. The true meaning of the rainbow comes from the Bible.
Genesis 9:13 says:
Later on, in true God fashion, He repeats Himself in Genesis 9:16:
The Bible is a living, breathing Book.
What I mean by that is: unlike books we read or applications we download that have updated versions, the Bible has remained unchanged for hundreds of years yet still speaks to the issues we face and encounter today.
Of course, not all believe in the Bible, but this post is not for the unbeliever but the believer. Those of us that take God at His Word because we have personally experienced it manifest in our own lives have no issue with calling the Bible alive and relevant to today.
There was a time in my life where I doubted the Bible, it's truthfulness in accounts of the past, and definitely its relevance to my own live. It was only the grace and mercy of The Lord that brought me to a place where I was forced to try it.
The next verse that mentions the rainbow can be found in Ezekiel 1:28. The context is a vision that the prophet received. You really have to read a few verses above it to catch it's full meaning, but here it is:
There are many scriptures in the Bible which speak about the glory of The Lord, but this one came to my spirit immediately after I decided to write about this topic, Isaiah 42:8:
The next scripture about the rainbow can be found in Revelations 4:3
What is my point?
That the rainbow was given to Noah as a covenant that God would never destroy the earth with water (next time it will come by fire Isaiah 51:6; 2 Peter 3:7, 10-12), but it is also a symbol held in high regard by God.
In the five times we read about the rainbow we see:
These people are celebrities and public figures, plastered on magazines and given television shows so that people can learn more about their lifestyle.
Here we are in a time where the highest court in our land has decided that they have the right to determine the laws of matrimony, not God, even though He created it.
We live in a time where people of God are persecuted openly in other countries but subliminally bashed and persecuted in our own (through laws, the media, and "public opinion").
But we cannot blame the world for this, but ourselves. The church has taken a "middle of the road, don't offend anyone" stance on Gods laws because of money. Many pastors and teachers will not address the very same topics that are so very important because they fear losing members and losing tithes and offerings.
After all this is a very real threat because in 2 Timothy 4:3 we learn about the type of preachers people want to hear:
It is no coincidence that Christ warned us that He would return during a time that was similar to the time of Noah, and we see that the homosexuals have taken the symbol God gave to Noah as a symbol for their lifestyle. No accident!
It is also no accident that the term 'pride' is a part of the LGBT agenda, because God will destroy the proud and lift up the humble. 1 Peter 4:17:
You would think that Christians would be afraid to follow any pattern of the world, and that they would know that the way of the crowd could never be right, Matthew 7:13 warns:
Well, many people do this same thing. If they attend church, they never study the textbook (Bible), and some never even attend church (where we learn about our faith, or the school).
Yet they confidently call themselves Christians -- never learning the ways, thoughts, and commandments of Christians. Been there.
The danger of this is that they can be led astray and not even know they've been deceived. Worst than this, the people around them that are looking to them for the light (as we are called to be) will not know the difference between them and the world.
There must be a stark difference, contrast between us and the world. Not by words, but by beliefs, deeds and lifestyles.
Just as you would not want to be under the care of a doctor who never attended school, or hire an attorney that never studied law, why would anyone want to be a Christian or follow Christ if we have not studied and have an understanding of our faith; no real change?
I will stop this here for now and close by reiterating the true and proper meaning of the beautiful rainbow:
a symbol the God used in His covenant between Himself and mankind, not a symbol for the LGBT lifestyle.
Satan has deceived many; do not be one of them.

Genesis 9:13 says:
I set My bow [rainbow] in the cloud, and it shall be a token or sign of a covenant or solemn pledge between Me and the earth. (Amplified version)
Later on, in true God fashion, He repeats Himself in Genesis 9:16:
When the bow [rainbow] is in the clouds and I look upon it, I will [earnestly] remember the everlasting covenant or pledge between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. (Amplified Version)Interesting enough, right before the Bible mentions the rainbow, it tells us of Gods instruction to Noah to be fruitful and multiply, something that homosexuals cannot do.

The next verse that mentions the rainbow can be found in Ezekiel 1:28. The context is a vision that the prophet received. You really have to read a few verses above it to catch it's full meaning, but here it is:
Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. Here we see that Ezekiel is comparing the rainbow he saw in his vision to the rainbow we see in the clouds after the rain, and also the glory of the Lord.
This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking. (New International Version)
There are many scriptures in the Bible which speak about the glory of The Lord, but this one came to my spirit immediately after I decided to write about this topic, Isaiah 42:8:
I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. (KJV)If you are a student of the Word of God, you will recall that God's glory will fill the Earth. Habakkuk 2:14 says:
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.The glory of the Lord is something He takes seriously!
The next scripture about the rainbow can be found in Revelations 4:3
And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. (KJV)John, the author of Revelations was seeing a vision and he witnessed someone sitting on a throne with a rainbow surrounding it.
- It represents a covenant to man to never again destroy the Earth through a flood
- It represents His glory in some scriptures
- It is seen in a vision surrounding His throne
- It is significant in that it is mentioned in end time events
- It is given to us as a reminder of Gods covenant, and it reminds Him of His covenant as well
The use of Gods rainbow to signify a sin that He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for is a slap in His face and blasphemous.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that since God gave the rainbow to us, He has the right to decide its purpose and use.
Mankind has taken the pride of life to a whole new level as the White House, businesses and all around the nation the rainbow has been used as a symbol to promote the LGBT agenda.
Let us as the people of God be aware of the times we are living in and stay ready for Christs return.
It is no accident that Matthew 24:37-38 cautions us:
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,Here we are in a time where people who have decided they will not be the gender God assigned to them but instead go through medical procedures to become what they choose.
These people are celebrities and public figures, plastered on magazines and given television shows so that people can learn more about their lifestyle.
Here we are in a time where the highest court in our land has decided that they have the right to determine the laws of matrimony, not God, even though He created it.

After all this is a very real threat because in 2 Timothy 4:3 we learn about the type of preachers people want to hear:
For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. (NIV)Not just that, some churches have already decided that homosexuality is okay in Gods eyes, even before the Supreme Court ruling. Worse than the world, they have taken it upon themselves to alter Gods laws set forth in His church to appease the crowds. Dangerous!
For it is time for judgment to begin with God's household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? (NIV)The devil knows this and has deceived many into following the path that will eventually lead to destruction. There is a way that seems to be right, but in the end it leads to destruction (Proverbs 14:12 NIV)
You would think that Christians would be afraid to follow any pattern of the world, and that they would know that the way of the crowd could never be right, Matthew 7:13 warns:
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.But the problem is that most Christians label themselves without every even investigating what they believe, or reading the Bible. How many doctors do you know that never attended medical school, or lawyers that have not spent hours reading law books and cases? Seems preposterous right?
Well, many people do this same thing. If they attend church, they never study the textbook (Bible), and some never even attend church (where we learn about our faith, or the school).
Yet they confidently call themselves Christians -- never learning the ways, thoughts, and commandments of Christians. Been there.
The danger of this is that they can be led astray and not even know they've been deceived. Worst than this, the people around them that are looking to them for the light (as we are called to be) will not know the difference between them and the world.

If you are a man of woman of God, be watchful and prayerful for the time is near.
