A Journey with the LORD

What can I say about the LORD? His ways are unknowable His love will make you want to know Him more! You can never escape when He chooses you to save Though you won’t understand His ways Surrender anyway Open up your heart That’s a good place to start For Him to enter in And turn your losses into wins First He will open your eyes to all of Satan’s lies He will help you understand the secret to being wise Found in His holy Word, not in universities or books You’ll find His wisdom if you know where to look Things you thought you knew, you’ll begin to question Like how you should live and how to enter heaven It’s not by good behavior or being a good person Transformation is what must take place for your salvation to be certain It’s not how you think you are or even your church attendance Rather your obedience, humility, and willingness to listen He compels you to strive for the eternal reward And you’ll only have a chance if you use your sword The Word, The Way, The Truth, and The Lif...

Redirection: From Pain to Purpose

One of the best techniques used for children when they are upset or angry is redirection. I am no expert but I can recall when I had a family child care business as a young mother in Germany, we were taught that redirection was a tool we could use to calm the anxious child or comfort the sad infant. As children of GOD, I strongly believe that the LORD uses this same strategy today. When we are on the verge of being swallowed up in grief, sadness, or anything which is opposite of the joy we should have, He will redirect our attention to what is true, kind, just, pure, lovely, and good. In Philippians 4:8 the apostle Paul exhorts the church: “Finally, my brothers and sisters, always think about what is true. Think about what is noble, right and pure. Think about what is lovely and worthy of respect. If anything is excellent or worthy of praise, think about those kinds of things (NIV).” This can be a life-saving concept because so many people are hurting and feel they cannot see their way...

Gratitude In The Season of Grief: A Grateful Heart

Gratitude. "In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."  - 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Being grateful in difficult and uncertain circumstances may seem like a tall order from an insensitive optimist, but it is indeed a refuge and comfort to fix our minds on Jehovah, Yahweh, I AM. When we give all of our cares and concerns to the Creator, our minds can rest. He never sleeps nor slumbers and He desires that we would come to Him instead of trying to solve the issue on our own. We know that following Christ does not exempt us from trials and tribulations, but we are assured that in every season whether good or bad, joyful or full of mourning, we have a Helper, Counselor, Comforter, and Friend. We are not alone.  We are not abandoned or left without help. We as the children of GOD should be able to see with our spiritual eyes that we need to keep our minds on what matters the most. While distractions seem to meet us at every turn, we are being...

Calling All Prodigals: A Letter from Your Heavenly Father

A Letter from Your Heavenly Father. To My Beloved How long will you stand afar off? How long will you refuse to face what is already obvious? You belong to me. Please return home.  You do not need to prove anything to me or anyone else, for I know your heart.  Only return, repent and we can begin a new journey.  I have so many plans for you, and so much I want to share, but I need you to come close.  Relationships are the pulse of my connection to mankind. I am not only your Creator, if you allow me I can be your Father. I AM I AM. The abyss that you feel within will never be fulfilled. You can never replace what I have for you with what you think is best for you.  You are limited.  I am infinite.  You are flawed.  I am complete. You mean much more to me than you can comprehend.  Won’t you come home, won’t you restore what we have, won’t you turn from your profitless works? I have so much more I want to say but I need you to come closer. Come...

The Names Of God in The Old Testament

God as we know Him has always been and always will be. He has no beginning and no end. His wisdom is shown throughout the cosmos and our home, planet Earth.  When Moses was called by God to go deliver the children of Israel, he asked God who should He say sent him?  God replied, "I AM." He further explained that He was " I AM that I AM." Seems kind of weird for a name, right? After the Israelites were delivered, they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. During this time, I AM revealed who He was by what He did.  God revealed who He was by what He did.  If you feel lost, confused, or struggle with unbelief, please use this as a reference. Call on The Lord and watch Him show up. He knows your heart, so you don't have to be fancy with your words or know what to say - simply call out to I AM and watch Him become what you need! Keep pressing. Your labor is not in vain.
