Distractions abound in our society, and if we are not careful with the tools and resources we have fashioned to make our lives easier they can quickly morph into weapons of our own destruction.  Little foxes destroy the vine  (Song of Songs 2:15). Don’t ever underestimate the enemy, or  the power we have as children of the Most High God.  Jesus Christ gave us the  keys to the kingdom  and we can possess what belongs to us if we are paying attention! Like the steering wheel of a vehicle, our lives require small yet consistent corrections to ensure we do not crash. A Letter from Your Heavenly Father. To My Beloved How long will you stand afar off? How long will you refuse to face what is already obvious? You belong to me. Please return home.  You do not need to prove anything to me or anyone else, for I know your heart.  Only return, repent and we can begin a new journey.  I have so many plans for you, and so much I want to share, but I need you to come close.  Relationships are the pulse of my connection to mankind. I am not only your Creator, if you allow me I can be your Father. I AM I AM. The abyss that you feel within will never be fulfilled. You can never replace what I have for you with what you think is best for you.  You are limited.  I am infinite.  You are flawed.  I am complete. Pain is universal. It does not discriminate based on class, income, education, age, gender or race. Pain is a part of life -- an essential part of life. We can't avoid it. We actually need it. It is a signal, an indicator that something is wrong or something needs to be changed. Pain speaks a universal language that ALL can understand, and forces us to act. It is the same in our spiritual walk with Christ. Some have misunderstood their new life in Christ and believed they would escape pain or somehow just breeze through it.  Our new nature in Christ equips us to look at pain differently and use it differently than the world , however it does not make us immune to it.

When we feel deserted by God, or that we are being tested beyond our limits, we can be assured that there is a purpose.  Sometimes tests reveal areas within us we are unaware of, or think we've "mastered." We find ourselves responding in ways that even shock us.  At these times, we must simply ask for forgiveness and work on that area. God is faithful to forgive once we confess our sins.  More importantly, we must humble ourselves and seek His face. He knows more about us than we do yet still loves us.  So don't be discouraged if you fail a test (in your mind), because sometimes GOD is not testing us on what we think, rather testing our hearts and willingness to repent and move forward.  This race is not given to the swift or strong, rather to those who endure and keep going.  We can overcome. Our righteousness is not of ourselves.
