Check yourself!

I want to write a little about our intentions / desires / and goals.

Have you ever had a dream or desire that was so awesome, you just knew it came from the Lord? After all His Word does say that He would give His children the desires of their hearts. So why is it not happening? What are you doing wrong? What can you do to make it better?

Matthew 6:33 says:
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The previous verse (Matthew 6:32) says that God already knows your needs before you ask Him. And the following verse says we are to take no thought about tomorrow, it has its own issues.

Psalm 37:4 says:
Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

So what do we know so far:
  • God knows the desires of our hearts
  • God knows our needs before we ask
So what keeps us from attaining our desires or goals? Our focus, our hearts, our goals - for what purpose do they serve in the lives of others, the kingdom of God, and even ourselves? God loves us so much that He gave us the answers to all the test questions before the test even began. His Word is where you should begin when embarking on anything if you consider yourself a Christian.

See, going to church, singing in the choir, being nice and smiling all the time is NOT what makes your salvation sure or your resting place in Heaven. In fact, studying the Word tells us that wide is the way to destruction and narrow the way to righteousness. Which road are you on? The road full of people OR the road less traveled?

Are you seeking God first? Are you seeking His will for your life? (Not after you have a plan or after you put a deposit down on your office space, BEFORE). He is saying that if you do this, you will have the desires of your heart and your needs met. This is a topic that I will revisit many times as there is much to say.

As Christian men and women who are commissioned to be the light to a dark world, how can we be just as greedy, materialistic, self-absorbed, and selfish as the world? How can we be more concerned about our wardrobe than needs of others?

Do you want to own your own business? How can you give God the glory in that venture? We must all check our intentions, our hearts, and minds. God knows our hearts and if you are not seeking Him first in all you do, you are only hurting yourself. You may prosper, you may succeed, but at what cost? Disobedience to God's commands is what brought death into the world from day one. Trying to find a shortcut to getting His promises without obeying His commands is futile and may God have mercy on us as we have all been guilty of this!

To GOD be the glory for the things He has done! Don't think we can get God's blessings without following His laws. That is a trick of the enemy! Seek God's kingdom and not His hand...you will be given much more than you could ever ask or think. Check yourselves saints, the time is short.

Welcome~

Hello everyone and thank you for visiting my blog. I really have no time for a blog but I feel compelled to share with the world the Grace, Mercy, and Love that God has to share with everyone who accepts Him and His son, Jesus Christ. This is not your typical Christian blog as I do not debate or argue the Bible (Romans 14:1). I also do not give my opinion, only His Word. You will also find excerpts of personal experiences to encourage you and demonstrate the power of God. May God bless and keep you until His return. Christian

The Names Of God in The Old Testament

God as we know Him has always been and always will be. He has no beginning and no end. His wisdom is shown throughout the cosmos and our home, planet Earth.  When Moses was called by God to go deliver the children of Israel, he asked God who should He say sent him?  God replied, "I AM." He further explained that He was " I AM that I AM." Seems kind of weird for a name, right? After the Israelites were delivered, they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. During this time, I AM revealed who He was by what He did.  God revealed who He was by what He did.  If you feel lost, confused, or struggle with unbelief, please use this as a reference. Call on The Lord and watch Him show up. He knows your heart, so you don't have to be fancy with your words or know what to say - simply call out to I AM and watch Him become what you need! Keep pressing. Your labor is not in vain.
